 To fix Canon Printer Error U052 follow the described blog. A lot of Canon Printer user has come across with this error code and the message says” The type of Print head is incorrect”. There are two different scenarios related to U051 or U052 kind of error message. One is Print head is not installed and the second is installed print head is not functioning properly or probably not working at all. Both scenarios will be covered in the next section. 

Follow the steps to fix Canon PIXMA Printer Error Code U051 or U052:-

When you are getting Error Code U052 with Print head installed

Step1: You need to open the top lid of your printer in order to access the printer’s cartridges and the print head. When you open the top lid, the cartridges slot will automatically lift up to the middle front of the Canon printer.
Step2: From the switchboard connected via cord unplug the printer and make sure that the cartridge lever located just on the side of the cartridge cradle is lifted up. In this position of the lever, the cartridge slot will not auto move.
Step3: Remove all the ink cartridges from the cartridges slot.
Step4: After the cartridges are removed the black print head will be exposed to you. Now gently remove the print head from the printer. The technique to remove the print head is to grab it just where the cartridges are to be inserted, pull it gently and the print head will come out.
Step5: Then perform the basic cleaning cycle on the print head.
Step6: After the cleaning re-insert the print head back and also the ink cartridges into the printer and make sure that there are no open doors now also the lever is placed back in position.
Step7: Close the Canon Printer top lid as well.
Step8: Switch ON the printer by pressing the switch button followed by the power button pressing.
Step9: Carry out a test print in order to check if the Error U052 is resolved.When Print head is not installed yet receiving the Error U052 or U051
Step1: Switch off your Canon printer.
Step2: Now you need to open the top lid of the printer. As there are no cartridges or print heads in the printer, then the positioning of the cartridge slots would automatically be in the middle front of the printer with the lever lifted up.
Step3: Into the sliding rail install the print head presents just beside the cartridges slot.
Step4: Try installing the cartridges into the cartridge slots. Close the lever and make sure that there is no open door and the cartridges and the print heads are properly installed.
Step5: After the installation process is completed close the top lid of the printer.
Step6: Switch ON the printer.
Step7: Carry out a test print in order to check if the Error code U052 or U051 is resolved.
